Chiropractic.ca Redesign
A Bold New Face for a Modern Association
As the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA) had not refreshed its website since 2014, the update of Chiropractic.ca was a much-needed overhaul.
In addition to freshening the design, the CCA wanted to make its site WCAG 2.0 compliant and provide a better overall user experience. I oversaw and approved the layouts created by external designers before moving the site to the next stage of development. Our design and content overhaul refocused the target audience to members of the public looking for further information about chiropractic care as well as some friendly health tips.
Goals for the Refresh of Chiropractic.ca Included:
- Be an engaging website that leverages the CCA’s current branding and “feel”
- Be an impactful destination for CCA marketing strategies
- Use a distinctive colour palette, typestyle and photographic style
- Have attention to colour, contrast and visual hierarchy
- Be accessible and meet WCAG 2.0 standards
- Incorporate well-structured content and easy navigation
- Provide positive user experience
- Incorporate device-appropriate navigation patterns
- Improve search engine performance
